Community Dinners
- November 11 (Wednesday) from 5:30 - 6:30pm - The beloved community dinners have returned! Join your friends and neighbors for a special meal cooked with love by our volunteer chefs. No charge for the meal, although donations will be accepted. The next dinner will be on December 9.
Thanksgiving Apple Tart Class with Chef Marion Ferrer
- November 19 (Thursday) from 6 - 8:30pm - Have you always struggled with making a flaky pie crust? Is your apple pie filling crunchy or undercooked? Flat tasting? Poorly spiced or over-spiced?
Got "Soggy Bottom"? In this class I will teach you the tips and tricks for perfecting the most flaky and delicious pie crust with a luscious, perfectly-spiced apple pie filling. We will learn this by creating a French apple galette (tart).
You'll leave with:
- A picture-perfect, 8-inch, French apple galette.
- Recipes to get consistent and perfect results every time.
The best part is you can adapt these recipes to a full-sized apple pie for your Thanksgiving sweets table.
