Yoga

Chair Yoga

Lisa Gayle will be leading this weekly 50-minute chair yoga class designed for seniors. You will be stretching joints and muscles in and with the support of a chair. Classes will be Wednesdays at 10:45am in the Yoga Room, starting on June 10. There is a $10 suggested donation per class.

Sound Journey & Meditation

  • June 19 (Friday) - 7–8pm, Yoga Room, first floor

Led by Bonny Renner. Enjoy an hour of intentional sound, breath, and stillness. We begin with a short guided meditation to help you arrive fully in your body. From there, you'll experience a soundscape of crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, and drums that invite your mind and body to relax and unwind.

Lioness Den Circle

  • July 7 (Tuesday) - 7–8:30pm, 2nd floor classroom, accessible by elevator

Led by Bonny Renner, The Lioness Den is a self-leadership circle for women who are done performing “fine.” We come together to be witnessed as we tell the truth, notice where we've been giving our power away, and practice showing up differently for ourselves. Each session opens with a short centering meditation, then moves into generative conversation. What's shared in the Den stays in the Den. Registration link

Emotional Eating Healing Art Classes

  • June 7 (Sunday) - 1-5pm, 2nd floor Art Classroom, accessible by elevator

Led by Judy Berrios, this is the first of a 5 month series that will use collaging and guided journaling to discover how we are triggered, tools to be more mindful and sink into our intuition to discover our why. It's art, for the non-artist! Anyone can create and play.

Each EE Healing Art Class will discover a new creative tool to explore our emotions and ways to regulate them, in regards to food and our relationship with it.

Tai Chi

  • Wednesdays at 7pm starting June 3 - Instructor Cliff Martin will be leading a weekly Tai Ji class. $20 per session. Learn more about Cliff and the form of Tai Ji he will be teaching on our blog. No materials or supplies needed, recommended for ages 15+.

This class teaches a substantial Wu form, the Wu 45. We will learn the form step by step as well as standard warm ups like the Eight Brocades. You will learn how to move with confidence and breathe deeply for health and joy. Eventually we will do some Push Hands.

  • Second Thursday of the month at 5:30 starting June 11 - A Community Tai Chi class will be held with master annie of Shaolin Kung Fu & Tai Chi. This is a free class to be held on the 2nd Thursday of the month from 5:30-6:30pm.
