Board Spotlight - Marion Ferrer

By Cathy Wakeman - June 1, 2026

Board member Marion Ferrer

Well before her delicious baked goods were available at local Main Street eateries, Board Member Marion Ferrer has been baking professionally all over the world. She brings her years of expertise in the kitchen, both baking and teaching, to the Board of the Dryden Center for Community. As our kitchen coordinator, Marion is helping to establish procedures for the rental of our certified commercial kitchen, organizing required training and preparing programs for young and old.

Marion began her baking business as a fund-generating enterprise while a student at TC3, not realizing it would lead to her life’s work. She’s now sharing her expertise with the Dryden community. Whether she’s creating policy, working with the health department, or creating classes, her passion for community and working with food shine through all that she does.

Marion grew up in the Village of Dryden, in the place she still calls home. Her dreams for the center include her youth baking camps, stand alone classes such as pie baking and cake decorating, and encouraging new businesses as they start out.
